The Centre for Legal Innovation (CLI) is delighted to launch its new Legal Operations Clinic in collaboration with Mollie Tregillis, Director – Legal Optimisation Consulting at MinterEllison. The Clinic will be offered at lunchtime (1pm-2pm AEST or AEDT) on a Tuesday every month through CLI’s Legalpreneurs Lab, Innovation and Legal Ops Special Interest Group (SIG).

With the launch of the Clinic, Mollie also takes up the leadership role of the SIG.

The Clinic kicks off in July. The first three topics and dates are:

• Tuesday 12 July: Getting a foot in the door – how to kick off your Legal Ops career
• Tuesday 16 August: Finding your way – how to work out what your Legal Ops style is
• Tuesday 13 September: How do I…? - a Q&A session about Legal Ops projects

“We started our Legal Ops journey with Mollie in March and we’re really excited to be working with her again as our SIG lead and co-host of the Clinic. We know from the outstanding success of COL-CLI’s NewLaw Careers Summit in May that there is very strong interest in the Legal Ops specialism. We also jumped at the opportunity to work with Mollie to create a place and space where these amazing professionals (and those interested in joining them) could share experience and discuss practical solutions to real life problems. We can’t wait for the Clinic to launch later this month,” said Terri Mottershead, Executive Director, CLI.

“I'm so excited to kick off this Clinic in conjunction with the Centre for Legal Innovation. We hope it is a space where anyone interested in Legal Ops can attend – from wanting to get started in the industry, to seasoned professionals who have valuable insights to share. It will be a safe space for great open discussion, no silly questions, lots of information sharing and hopefully a few special guests. Can't wait to see you there!” said Mollie Tregillis.
