CLI Launches Research on The Use of Data in Legal Practice

Published on 09 July 2021

CLI is delighted to announce the launch of Research Fellow Denise Doyle’s survey on The Use of Data in the Legal Practice. The survey can be found here.

Please take a little time to complete the survey. It will close to responses on 31 August. It would be amazing to hear from as many of you as possible.

Denise will author a Report summarising the survey findings. This will be made available to everyone free of charge from the CLI website.

The survey is part of a broader research project being undertaken by Denise during her Fellowship focussing on:

  • identifying what, how and why data is used in the legal industry
  • analysing its impact
  • understanding and explaining why the legal industry has been slow to adopt data analysis
  • investigating if there is a correlation between the slow adoption of data analysis in legal practice and the way lawyers are trained.
