Women + AI APAC Workshop (28 July)

Published on 01 September 2020

Join the Centre for Legal Innovation and Vanderbilt Law School in collaboration with Gilbert + Tobin on 28 July 2025 in person for an intensive half-day Workshop focused on strategic AI adoption for growing professional services firms. This interactive Workshop will be held at Gilbert + Tobin's Sydney offices.

The Workshop serves as a perfect complement to the Women + AI APAC Summit taking place the following day (29 July) – you can find information about that here.

Immerse yourself in the compelling case study of Forward Consulting Group (FCG), a rapidly growing boutique consultancy facing critical operational challenges that AI implementation could address. Through collaborative problem-solving and guidance from industry specialists, you'll work in small, facilitated groups to develop practical strategies for prioritising AI initiatives, managing change, selecting appropriate technologies, and establishing governance frameworks.

Workshop highlights include:

  • Critical Issues Panel: Strategic AI Adoption - Subject area specialists and business owners share their experiences tackling AI implementation challenges, providing contextual insights to inform your group discussions and recommendations.
  • Collaborative Problem-Solving: Strategy and Prioritisation - Develop criteria for determining which business processes to enhance with AI first, balancing immediate operational needs with long-term strategic goals.
  • People and Culture: The Human Element - Create approaches for fostering an organisational culture that embraces AI as an enhancement to human capabilities rather than a replacement, with specific training and change management strategies.
  • Technology Selection and Integration - Identify appropriate AI tools and platforms for professional services organisations, with actionable insights on integrating with existing systems to minimise disruption while maximising value.
  • Governance and Risk Management - Establish data governance, privacy, and ethical frameworks to guide AI implementation that balances innovation with appropriate risk management.

The Workshop concludes with group presentations of concrete recommendations, providing multiple perspectives on addressing FCG's AI implementation journey that you can adopt, adapt and immediately put into practice for your own firm/organisation.
