Today, CLI launched its NewLaw Careers Series. The Series will explore the new professions and specialisms emerged and emerging in contemporary legal practice. You’ll find detailed information about the Series and links to register for the FREE sessions here.

It will be delivered by people working in NewLaw roles in law firms, legal departments, government and ALSPs, and showcase their work through practical examples and mini case studies. It will also discuss, with employers, how, when, where and why they engaged people in these roles; explain and analyse the value they have added to their legal workplaces; and detail the significant contribution they have made to business development, client engagement and retention.

“The legal ecosystem is complex, multidisciplinary and evolving. Delivery of legal services and products requires the capabilities of many people working seamlessly in collaboration with each other and customers/clients. In this Series, we will showcase these new professions and specialisms in legal practice and discuss what these amazing people do, how and why,” said Terri Mottershead, Executive Director, CLI.  

“We’ve been hugely fortunate to have worked with outstanding session lead collaborators and faculty for the Series – they are the who’s who of NewLaw professionals. We’re kicking off the Series with a deep dive into the work of legal operations professionals. It’s a great place to start. I’m very grateful to our Legal Ops Session Lead Collaborator and Presenter/Facilitator, Mollie Tregillis, Director – Legal Optimisation Consulting, MinterEllison – she has been amazing to work with on this project. Mollie is passionate about her role and that will undoubtedly shine through in every one of the three legal ops episodes in the Series – thank you so much, Mollie!”
