Terri Mottershead and Catriona Macleod from the Centre for Legal Innovation’s Advisory Board were recently invited to participate in the panel discussions regarding Human v Cloud: 2017 LexisNexis Roadshow Report. The panels brought together industry leaders from the legal sector, corporate, academia, and the justice system to discuss the driving force of the legal profession—people—as technology shakes up traditional roles, disrupts business models and propagates an always-on mindset, as well as opening new opportunities for business growth and access to the legal system that did not exist before. The panel events were held in front of a live audience; who engaged in live polling sessions.

The subsequent Report brings together findings from this survey as well as views from the panel series, to reveal how people are adapting and reconfiguring their pathways in an industry being rapidly changed by technology. It also explores how human-robot collaboration is enabling a new paradigm of work-life integration and careers focused on purpose in the legal industry.
